I gave my students this picture for their French homework and they were asked to write a story about it . The two stores were both written by two of my students who are 13 years old. Didn’t they do well? I was so delighted with the result that I just had to share it with the TES community!! I will admit that a few minor tweaks have been made. The first story is written in the past tense, using the ‘perfect’ tense and the ‘imperfect’ tense. Find out the names of the chicks and what kind of characters they have. Follow them on their journey and find out what happens when they decide to go on an Easter egg hunt. Also included are 12 questions to answer. The second story is written in the present tense. Find out what makes one of the chicks cry and what happens to make her happy again and the moral to the story. Also included are 10 questions to answer. Feedback and comments are always welcome. If you consider this worth buying, ‘un très grand merci.’ If this resource does sell both of the students concerned will definitely be in for a treat. Suggestions please… (Please don’t say an Easter egg because one of them is allergic to chocolate)

Exercises to practise language to describe a typical school day. Includes labeling pictures and gap-fill sentences with time expressions. There is also an extensive comprehension of Madeleine’s daily routine on school days including a question worksheet. Focus is on verbs, regular -er verbs but also introduces some irregular verbs. Also revises school subjects and food and drink items. There are answer sheets for each activity. To complete this topic, I have added an extension activity for students to write their own sentences using a variety of subject pronouns. This tests their ability as to how well they have mastered conjugating regular and irregular verbs. They may need to pratice the irregular verbs: ALLER, BOIRE, FAIRE AND LIRE before doing this activity. I have modeled some answers. These can be ammended to suit the level of your students. Resource contains 10 files.
